In 2005, she was named Miss Leadership Gulf Coast by her peers at LGC, a program of Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce. Most recently, Mississippi Business Journal has honored Jane as their Business Woman of the Year for 2007. A native of Mobile, Alabama, Jane and her husband Dave currently reside in Pass Christian, MS, a town of only 7,000 that lost 80% of its housing to Hurricane Katrina. Recognizing the need for both quick action and long-term vision to preserve the unique character of the 300-year-old town, Jane has focused her energies on Katrina recovery committees, most notably serving as current co-chairman of "Build Back the Coast”, a fund at the Gulf Coast Community Foundation. Both Jane and her husband Dave are graduates of Auburn University. Dave and Jane have served as vice chairs of the Washington & Lee University Parent’s Council, where their son, Padrick, is a recent graduate. Padrick is currently in his second year of Law School at the University of Mississippi. Their daughter Katie is a graduate of Wake Forest University and a 2008 Ole Miss Law School graduate. |
